The Listening Room - What is this?
The Listening Room gives you the opportunity to offload in a private space. Here you can talk to one of our helpers, who have counselling backgrounds for up to 15 minutes per session. Listening room helpers will help you explore and understand what is going on for you. This is not an online counselling service but we do know that it often helps to talk it through and may help you take the next step.
When you come on to the site you will need to click on the 'Listening room in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to see whether one of our helpers is available. If a helper is available you will see the 'I want to chat' message, when you type in your message and submit. You will see a message ' you are in a queue and an advisor will be with you shortly'... A helper will respond to you within a few minute to either find out more about your issue, if they are available to chat straight away; or they may ask you to wait if they are already chatting with another visitor. If a helper isn't on line you will see a message letting you know when a helper will next be available.
Listening Room helpers are available to chat on the couple connection each weekday evening Monday to Friday and Sundays between 8.30 and 9.30pm (GMT), and on Saturday's between 4 and 5pm (GMT).
From time to time we may contact users of the listening room service to ask them for their permission to seek feedback about the service they received when they visited the listening room. Visitors to the listening room are under no obligation to provide feedback it’s completely optional.
If you have any comments about the listening room service, please email admin@thecoupleconnection.net with your feedback.
