Going on a vacation means that you are going to get the relaxation you’ve been craving for a long time. We need those days away to just unwind, relax, and forget about all the things that are happening at home. It is said that going away with your partner for the first time can either make or break the relationship, so you need to prepare properly for it. Here, we are going to list some things that you need to bring on your next vacation, and we are going to help you decide on which things are definitely not needed and are just going to take up space in your luggage.

You shouldn’t go on vacation without capturing the best moments. Our trips last for a few days or even a few weeks, but after they are done, we want to remember the great times and the happiness we felt there. If you are going on a vacation with your partner, no matter if it is the first time, or you have been together for a long time, you should definitely pack a polaroid camera. You will be able to see the results right away, it is far more intimate than the thousands of digital pictures you are going to take on your phone, and you can display them right after you come back.
Date-night outfits

We tend to forget about this, but you should have at least one date night with your partner when you go on vacation together. Just because you are changing the scenery does not mean that you should not doll up and have a romantic evening out. You don’t have to bring too fancy clothes, especially if you are spending your days next to the sea, but if you want to get out of the comfortable clothes or the swimsuit and put something fancy on, then you should definitely pack some date-night outfits.
Swimwear

This is a must-have and you should not leave your home without packing some cute swimwear. No matter your body type, and no matter where you are going, or for how long, you are going to need some swimwear. You can try out new styles, new colors, or just stick with the same swimsuits you used last year. In any case, these pieces are going to make you feel comfortable and attractive, and you are going to have so much fun in the water. Keep in mind that if you are buying new pieces, it is better to invest in one high-quality piece than to purchase several poorly-made ones.
Proper footwear

Do you know how easily your vacation can be ruined if you don’t have the proper footwear? It’s pretty easy to get wounds, cuts, and blisters if you don’t have the right shoes, and no matter if you plan to walk just to the beach and spend your days there, or if you want to go sightseeing, you have to have shoes that are going to protect you. If you are spending your days in the water, you better bring water shoes that are suitable for both men and women and will provide safety and stability every time you enter the sea.
Board games

Spending a week or two with your partner alone in a new location is going to be interesting, but after a while, you will realize that you need to have something to do when the sun is the highest and when you need to protect yourself from it inside. If you don’t want to spend those hours doing nothing, then you should pack some board games. It is up to you and your partner what games you want to bring, and you should also pack some cards. You can play new things, challenge each other, or you can opt for those games that are going to help you learn some new things about each other.
Speakers and other gadgets

There are so many amazing gadgets that are going to make your vacation better and easier. You should pack portable speakers that you can carry with you when you check out private beaches, and you can also choose to pack a Kindle, TV stick, your laptops, and other devices that are going to add more to the entertainment. Don’t forget to pack the chargers for all these things along with the chargers for your phones.
The right clothes

When planning your vacation, you need to plan what the weather is going to be like and what your activities are going to be.
If you are going to the sea, you will need to bring light clothing that protects you from the sun, but you also need to plan for the cool nights. No matter how hot it is currently, the weather next to the sea can easily change, and the storms there can easily bring colds to you or your partner. Pack breathable clothing that will keep you warm, and durable items that are not going to get damaged if you put them in water. The same goes for your partner, so don’t forget to remind them that one pair of shorts and a shirt are not enough for a two-week vacation.
Sunscreen and medication

You cannot go on vacation without packing sunscreen. A lot of it. No matter the season, you should know that being next to the water, and in it, can make you and your partner burn easily. You definitely don’t want to ruin several days of your vacation by suffering the consequences of sunbathing without protection. Because of it, you should pack enough types of SPF, and you should have a separate one for your face. In addition to this, you need to get first aid medicine. Chances are, there will be a pharmacy in your area, but it is better to be prepared just in case you catch a cold or stomach flu in the middle of the night.
These are some of the essentials that you need to pack for your next vacation, and it is up to you to decide if you need something extra and if you have room in your bag. You don’t need to pack your whole wardrobe, and you don’t need to bring 10 different books. Keep things to the minimum and plan depending on what you want to do there if there are any activities offered in the place where you will be staying, and depending on the weather. Prepare for unplanned situations but don’t carry dozens of pounds of luggage just because you couldn’t make up your mind.
