Shopping can be addictive. Don’t get seduced by all the baby stuff in the shops – you really don’t need it all. Buying some things in preparation for the baby’s arrival can be practical.
Talk to other parents about the best buys in baby equipment, and the money-wasters. Consider using charity shops or eBay for buying nearly new stuff. Or, why not try out sites like Freecycle where you can get used goods for free?
You should think of ways that you can earn extra cash as well. Got a junk-filled spare room that needs to make way for a nursery? Think about what you can sell, for example on eBay or Amazon.
