My girlfriend and I have been going out for almost a year and we haven’t had sex yet

So my girlfriend and I have been seeing each other for almost 12 months now, for both of us this is our first relationship and we’re both virgins, so I knew there wouldn’t be a big rush to have sex, however, I thought it would have happened by now, especially since we do “other” things to each other but she says she just isn’t ready. Because it’s coming to our 1 year soon I thought that this would definitely be the month where we finally do it, well she says I shouldn’t hold my breath because she still isn’t sure. Is there a point where I say I can’t wait anymore? Am I just being impatient?
