earlier this week me my partner and my mum was in manchester, for the past couple of weeks me and my partner have been going through a rough patch, the stress levels between both of us have been high. sop anyway we went out and the previous day i was upset with him because he never texts me when we arnt together. so on the day in question he was being proper rude and mean to me then after the day event had finished we had a disagreement on the tram and he got off the tram and left me. he left me voice mails telling me that he hates me and everything. we have now started talking and i want to build a relationship back up but i dont know what to do now. i think im to blind with how i feel for him to make a judgement. i need help

    Oh dear, what a horrible thing to happen. It sounds like feelings were running very high between you - anger mostly at that point. Good to hear you're talking again. From what you say, it's difficult to tell if your partner wants to sort things out as well. I know he said he hates you but, really, love and hate can exist together in close relationships. How do you think he feels about you underneath his anger? You recognise that the strength of your feelings for him affects the way you see things. Do you think its the same for him?
    Keep talking - especially when you're not feeling angry with each other and try and listen to each other without interrupting. Practice taking turns at saying what's on your mind.
