  Trust is built on communication and it seems that she told you about thinking of he ex? If that's the case it means that she trusts you. However, I can see why it would make you wonder. I say that you see how it goes and make sure that you make her aware that you trust her but not to the point that you're a doormat y'know? She has to know that it's not fair to you to be thinking of someone else in that way.
