  My first response is that you could just stop. But I know its more complicated than that. First you need to ask why you're texting random girls and more importantly, what are you texting them? Is is sexting or wanting to meet for hook-ups or is it for knowledge of a guaranteed reply and the following text conversation? Also, is your current relationship failing to fulfil you at the moment and what could you do about that - lol pretty sure your partner would be open to trying to new things if it were for the sake of your relationship. The final thing to consider is that maybe you just want out of the current relationship and this is your subconcious's way of telling you...

    thank you for your response. of all the possible suggestions i think its the guaranteed reply and following conversations, almost like a control over someone and attention. i have never had nor do i have any intentions of ever meeting up with anyone and its only recent that ive relised what im doing isnt normal and would hurt my girlfriend. thank you again
