I found out over the weekend that my husband has a Twitter account (that he hasn't used for over a year) where he used very explicit sexual language and asked women for inspiration for self pleasure and even asked to meet up with one but that never happened. He also linked his Twitter account to a Tumblr account which has very graphic sexcual pictures. He used explicit photos of us together without my knowledge and wrote stories about our love life online. Of course, I was shocked, sick to my stomach, hurt and feel betrayed.

He says he made really bad choices and that at times I emasculate him. He wasn't feel good about himself and instead of talking to me he chose to seek acceptance online. Our life is and has been very stressful I get that. We are a blending family and I truly adore this man and he says the same about me, but really?

I don't know what to do. My decision to stay or leave will affect 4 little girls and I am having a hard time getting past this. I'm am very hurt, sad and feel like a failure. What advice can you give?

I am so sorry you had this shock discovering what your husband had been doing on Twitter - sometimes social media has a lot to answer for! It was a year ago and he does seem to accept he was very wrong and is very sorry, but of course for you it is as if it happened yesterday as you have just found out. For the sake of your children and your feelings for your husband, it sounds like it would be worth trying to make this marriage work again, but you could do with some help, how about some relationship counselling to talk it all through honestly in a safe environment - you need to be able to say how betrayed and hurt you feel and to get reassurance that he does love you and find you attractive. Marriage Care and Relate are both good. Also have a look at http://thecoupleconnection.net/categories/affairs-and-jealousy/articles on the Relationship Advice part of this site, there is some really helpful stuff there. Good luck, let us know how you get on.
