Does my university lecturer fancy me? or am i being paranoid?!help please
Basically at university there has been a new lecturer who has been there for over a year. He has a lot of back lash from the cohort, not his fault they were just rebelling change but i defended him (before i knew him) as i follow what right.
When at uni i had broke down crying he did take me to his office and cup his hand over my ear and side of my face.
and well when ever i need help at university e.g stuff happened and i need advice he will always help me. he would just sneak me in his office and help me and then once told me to keep it a secret. but no cheating or anything like that, just when things kicked off.
But i get shy talking to him now.
Anyways some thing had kicked off in my cohort when a new lecturer came, and he asked my friend to tell me to go and talk 2 him.
So i did, but i guess i was flirty. He said that he wanted to know who those two ppl in my cohort were, i explained i didn't know their names. He said the uni has picutres so if i come over to his office later i can help, and it will be kept between us.
I did ask what do i get out of this, jokingly do i get a A? even though all my assignment have been handed in. He looked down shy then back up at me eye contact and got close but back away saying will give me a reference.
I walk back to my seat but when he leaves i can see him in the corner of my eye standing at the door with couple inches open just smiling and staring at me waiting for me to look
Is that daughterly/father thing or some one who cares?

It could be that he does care for you - as his student who he respects and likes as a person and is doing his best to make sure you reach your potential and get the best degree you can.
But it's really difficult to say - maybe you should follow your instincts and stay away if you really think he fancies you. It sounds as if you like him so could it be wishful thinking? It would not be wise to jeopardize his professional integrity by encouraging him. Just be happy that you have been lucky to have had his help and guidance and don't put temptation in his way.
