What is thecoupleconnection.net?

Ever wondered why there’s always an argument over money? How to finally quash those feelings of jealously? Or simply felt like you’re not being listened to? The truth is, most couples have. That’s why relationships research charity One Plus One channelled its 40 years of knowledge on what makes partnerships work or fall apart into the innovative online support service thecoupleconnection.net

Thecoupleconnection.net offers a new way to work on your relationship. Gone are the days when couples in crises were forced to seek the face-to-face counselling that often feels like a last resort; instead partners can work on relationship issues at a time and in a place convenient to them, focussing on the little niggles before they turn into full-blown issues.

So if you’re in a relationship - married or co-habiting, serious or short-term - why not give thecoupleconnection.net a try and tell us what you think?

How does thecoupleconnection.net work?

Thecoupleconnection.net combines a unique mix of engaging editorial, video and user-generated content to help couples explore and understand their relationship issues, make plans and see changes.

From a quiz to help you sort out your finances to video tips on how to argue better, the Check it Out section of the site offers a wealth of expert advice and information that affords couples greater insight into their relationships.

Alongside this bank of expert advice sits user-generated support in the popular Talk it Out forum. The Talk it Out forum is a community area where users of thecoupleconnection.net can share their relationship problems anonymously and offer advice and support to others. It’s moderated by the Talk it Out Team, a group of fully-trained relationship counsellors who are on hand to give personalised advice where necessary.

After exploring their relationship issues in the Check it Out and Talk it Out sections of the site, users can then move on to the Work it Out area where they can create a personal space to set goals and implement the changes they wish to make to their relationship with the help of exercises and diary entries.

Why is it so successful?

Since its launch in 2008 thecoupleconnection.net has attracted more than 400,000 users and received endorsements from psychologists, practitioners and even politicians. Central to its success is The Helping Process – the five stage journey to a healthier, happier relationship. By using the Check it Out, Talk it Out and Work it Out sections of the site, users are guided through the five step process of exploring, understanding, making plans, making changes, and reviewing; ultimately applying The Helping Process to  their own relationship.

Tell us what you think!

Here at thecoupleconnection.net we’re always looking to improve our services for couples – that’s why we want to know what YOU think of the site. Checked out an article? Posted on the forum? Then take our quick five minute survey and let us know how thecoupleconnection.net experience was for you! It’s completely anonymous, we’ll never share your details and you could even win a £25 High Street voucher for taking part.
